Family Planning

Family planning is the practice of controlling if, when, and how many children you would like to have.

At our Title X family planning clinics, you can get help to put your Reproductive Life Plan into action. We are available to help you consider your health, educational, career, financial, and relationship goals while thinking about the timing and spacing of your children. Our experienced clinicians and staff will provide you with non-biased, factual information to support you in making informed choices based on your Reproductive Life Plan. Wyoming Title X clinics are ready to provide comprehensive, high-quality family planning and reproductive health services for all adults and adolescents.

Our clinics help you with preconception care to help you stay healthy for a healthy pregnancy and childbirth if and when you are ready. They also offer basic infertility services.

If you'd like to prevent pregnancy until you're ready to have children, our clinics offer information about the types of birth control to help you choose the best method. Our clinics offer a broad range of birth control at low to no cost. The Wyoming Health Council aims to provide information and assist you in accessing the health care you need to exercise personal choice in the number and spacing of children.

At every visit, the client will also have an opportunity to talk to a healthcare professional about their health concerns, including but not limited to:

• Pregnancy testing

• Mammograms

• Blood Pressure

• Weight reduction

• Immunizations

• Tobacco cessation

• Substance use

• Decreasing high-risk behaviors

By law, Title X clinics must not perform, promote, or fund abortion as a method of family planning. Title X clinics will offer and provide pregnant clients with neutral, factual information and nondirective counseling on all legal options, including prenatal care and delivery, infant care, foster care, adoption, and pregnancy termination. Clinics must only provide the information and counseling requested by the client.
